ARCANADEA, the original character plastic model series developed by Kotobukiya and featuring character design by Necömi, revealed the first teaser visual for its anime adaptation. The series features a “SF Fantasy × Beautiful Girl” theme and has Kaede Hondo voicing the protagonist Lumitea. The anime was announced at the franchise’s 3rd anniversary live talk event in December 2024.
Shohei Chiba, who oversees the planning and production, commented:
“Hello everyone, nice to meet you. I’m Shohei Chiba (also known as “Baachii”), planner and producer of the ARCANADEA series. At the end of last year, during the 3rd-anniversary celebration of the series, we announced the TV anime adaptation. This marks the second time Kotobukiya’s original plastic model series has been adapted into a TV anime, following Frame Arms Girl.
As the producer, I feel a heavy responsibility for this huge challenge, and as more and more collaborators join us, the pressure intensifies each day. Despite this heavy pressure, I believe I’ve managed to push forward, thanks entirely to your continued support over the past three years. Thank you very much to everyone who has always supported us!
Rather than anxiety from the pressure, I’m much more excited about discussing the anime with our users—imagining all the various scenes you’ll enjoy and the reactions you’ll have! Our staff is working diligently so that both existing fans and those experiencing the world of Arcanadia for the first time through this anime can thoroughly enjoy it. We hope you look forward to its release.
Additionally, I don’t consider “anime adaptation” as the goal. Rather, it’s a step to expand the “Arcanadia” series even further. Starting with this anime, we plan various exciting developments to enhance everyone’s enjoyment. Thank you all for your continued support!”
Kaede Hondo (Maple in BOFURI, Elaina in The Wandering Witch) previously voiced Lumitea in numerous trailers. She commented on the announcement back when it was announced:

This adaptation is a result of the love and support shown by everyone who has enjoyed the series so far. As someone who has been involved as Lumitea’s voice in the original PVs and YuruKana [Laid Back Arcanedia, a motion comic], I’m overwhelmed with emotion!
For those of you who are already familiar with ARCANADEA, I’m sure you know a lot about Lumitea, but as shown in YuruKana, she still has many sides to her character. From her unique personality to her brave and determined moments fighting for her mission… I’m hoping the anime portrays a cool Lumitea who can even protect her Masters! I can’t wait to see it!”
